The call was determined by cell phone video sent on Facebook afterward the game viewing a man in a Minnesota Vikings jersey on the roadway being stamped and jerked in the head as a handful of fans in 49ers gear surrounded him.

Four suspects, identified as 32-year-old Hollister resident Felix Chavira, 33-year-old Hollister resident Juan Arias, 30-year-old San Jose resident Eric Martinez were arrested along with an unidentified 17-year-old girl, police said.

The Santa Clara Police Department averages about 30 arrests when the 49ers play at Levi’s. But he was not certain that cutting off sales at halftime will resolve the issue because alcohol is consumed at pre-game tailgating parties before fans even enter the stadium.
O’Neill, who must not have attended a lot of National Football League games, said she had no idea before Levi’s opened that there was so much drinking outside stadiums.
After a video of an alleged assault went viral following last Monday night’s game – and four people ended up behind bars – the City Council is looking for ways to get fans to drink less.
“We want to make sure that we put on our best face for the world to see”, she said.
“With the Super Bowl coming up, we have to think of the image of Santa Clara as well as of the stadium”.
