Baby Driver, the new film from Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright, premiered at SXSW on Saturday, and the reviews so far are great! Definitely check it out. Flashbacks reveal a childhood accident which has left him with severe tinnitus, and he uses music to drown out the constant ringing, as well as to “help him move”.
Director Edgar Wright returns to the film world four years since his last flick, “The World’s End”, that was released in 2013 as the concluding instalment of his famed Cornetto Trilogy. All of that is witnessed in the trailer for Baby Driver, so if you need me I’ll be over here in a very good mood. “It is a movie that is heavily sound-centric, so the action and the drama is choreographed to the music but also in a way that it’s not score laid on”, Wright explains.
The Hollywood also added that Doc hires various crews for its every daring robbery plans, however, Baby is always the wheelman, until Baby meet a diner waitress Debora (Lily James). Therefore, the movie’s action is set to Baby’s personal soundtrack. Based on a previous music project of Wright’s, the film is his first United States venture and is set to arrive in August.
Well, the auto winning that particular race was undoubtedly the crime-thriller Baby Driver, which premiered Saturday night (March 11) at the Austin fest.
He transitioned pretty quickly to an original project, Baby Driver, and it’s his first feature without a co-writer.
