“You look at some of these caves and things out there one drone strike, boom, and they’d gone”, Carson had reportedly said. Carson said he was not saying the U.S. should use drone strikes on people crossing the border, but only as a way to go after the caves used to smuggle people across the border.
Carson was asked about a 1992 ad on abortion on CNN’s “State of the Union”.
“I make no bones about the fact that I used to be a Democrat”, Carson said earlier in the interview with CNN’s Jim Acosta.
Carson suggested greater use of drones to patrol border areas after a tour of the region last week.
You said that the United States should consider using drone strikes to secure the border with Mexico. It is nearly like not having a fence there. We need to talk about the actual issue, and stop getting pulled off into the weeds, and saying you can use this term, you can use that term, it’s so silly.
It seems like we have not only the cartels to deal with, the drug smugglers, the people smugglers, but we have the federal government which is not being helpful.
Former pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson said Sunday that the fight to abolish slavery influenced his views on abortion.
Acosta: To hide immigrants or hide?
Carson: The scouts and the people who are facilitating all of the illegal activities.
At some point I hope we have some responsible media which actually focuses on the problem. Is that what you are talking about?
“Read my lips”, said Carson.
Carson then lectured Acosta about the media’s behavior. Those caves are very evident.
Carson: I think that is – I made that very clear. I said there are caves.
