It seems that the most recent being at the WWE live event in Hampton and it seems Seth Rollins is partly to be blamed. Wrestlinginc.com is reporting that John may have suffered some sort of neck or nose injury during WWE Live event.
Cena faced Kevin Owens at tonight’s show, and about halfway through the match Cena went down, the match stopped, and the ref put up the “X” sign.
Although WWE trainers came out to check on Cena, he continued with the match for another 6 to 7 minutes and even took a table bump. “A handful of WWE officials also came out with the trainers and they checked on Cena’s nose and neck area for around 5 minutes”.
The fear for fans is that Cena’s match against Seth Rollins for the United States Championship at the upcoming “Night of Champions” pay-per-view on September 20 could be in jeopardy. Outside of wrestling, Cena has released the rap album “You Can’t See Me” and starred in the movies The Marine (2006), 12 Rounds (2009), and Legendary (2010). Cena went through surgery to correct his breathing and completed his rehab in time for SummerSlam. He’s worked his way through some insane injuries before and this time might be no different.
He walked straight to the back after the match but did stop to point back at the crowd.
As more becomes available about the injury to Cena, we will keep you updated.
Cena being hurt would obviously be bad news for WWE.
