Talking about the public health-related guidelines, other organizations have already warned of the dangers of cell phone radiation exposure such as Connecticut Department of Public Health, which issued corresponding guidelines in 2015.
The guidelines are cautious.
The department cited preliminary research suggesting a link between human health and the “long-term, high use” of cellphones, but stressed that studies haven’t definitively concluded whether cellphone radiation is harmful.
For years, there have been rumblings on whether or not the radiation from cell phones could damage your health. He quotes David O. Carpenter, director of the Institute for Health and the Environment at the State University of NY, who said, “Radiofrequency radiation has a number of biological effects which can be reproducibly found in animals and cellular systems”.
“Not at all”, Smith told CBS News.
“We are delighted that the California Department of Public Health is finally revealing affirmatively to the public what it knows about how to protect consumers from cell phone radiation”, said Claudia Polsky, Moskowitz’s lead attorney and founding director of the Environmental Law Clinic. A draft of the document was released back in March as well, although the final release is much more extensive.
The state argued in court that the unofficial document would cause unnecessary panic.
“For this reason. Scientists also agree that it is wise to reduce exposure to RF energy from cell phones whenever possible”.
The guidelines are partly as a result of a lawsuit that was brought about by Joel Moskowitz, a professor at the University of California Berkeley in 2009 that he had won past year.
That’s not how Dr. Karen Smith sees it. Moskowitz said the move is long overdue.

The debate about whether or not cell phone usage causes health issues has been ongoing for years.
In fact, the risk is enough that Apple now includes a warning about RF exposure within iPhone settings. “That’s why the FCC has determined that all wireless phones legally sold in the United States are ‘safe'”.
Smith said, “When you sleep, you keep the cellphone at least arm’s length away from your body”.
