According to Deadline, in 2065 where the series takes place, the Washington D.C. NFL football team is named the Washington Red Clouds as opposed to the racist slur the team now sports and that team owner Dan Snyder refuses to change.
Fox’s new present “Minority Report” has settled the longtime debate over whether or not the Washington Redskins ought to change its identify. The show is set 15 years after the film in the year 2065.
It premieres September 21 at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox. Precog Dash (Stark Sands, Inside Llewyn Davis) – driven by his terrifying, but fragmented visions – now has returned in secret to help a brash, but shrewd, police detective, Lara Vega (Meagan Good, Think Like a Man, “Californication”), attempt to stop the murders that he predicts.
In the cool video featurette below (which serves as a nice little window into the new TV show), writer and executive producer Max Borenstein introduces us to the upcoming sci-fi thriller series. The cast will also include Meagan Good, Stark Sands, Nick Zano, Laura Regan and Li Jun Li, and the series will be based on the 2002 film of the same name, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise. To carry out this brand of justice, the agency used three precogs – “precognitives” Dash, Arthur and Agatha – who were able to see the future. The series will be aired on Fox, starting from September 21.
