“Regretfully, Miranda Lambert will not be able to perform her Scotiabank Saddledome concert scheduled for Thursday July 9, 2015 and will be rescheduling to return at a later date yet to be determined”, the Facebook statement read.
MIranda Lambert’s suffering from “serious inflammation of her vocal chords”- unfortunately, that means she’ll have to cancel a huge show at the Calgary Stampede. The news was confirmed on Calgary Stampede’s Facebook page.
Miranda took to social media to apologize to her Canadian fans.
“We understand that this news is disappointing for fans”, says Paul Rosenberg, Chief Operating Officer.
Concert-goers can use their tickets for admission to Stampede Park from July 8 to 12.
If you were hoping to see Miranda Lambert at the Calgary Stampede, you’re out of luck.
Lambert’s July performance in Calgary was the only concert she had scheduled in Alberta in 2015. “Ticket holders should retain their ticket for the rescheduled concert, and should continue to check the Stampede’s and Ticketmaster’s websites for rescheduling updates”.
Fans with tickets for Lambert’s show are being instructed to keep their tickets, as the show will be rescheduled; more details will be announced on the Calgary Stampede’s website as they become available.
“I really support female artists in any genre, especially country music right now”, she says.
