In 1981 a woman was found dead in Arizona.
A New Hampshire man whose daughter is now identified as the victim of a 3-decade-old Arizona killing says he still has questions about what happened to her.
For three decades, Pima County Investigators called a woman “Jane Doe”, after she was found brutally murdered near the Pima County Fairgrounds in 1981.
Pima County Detective Mark O’Dell says Gerow was sexually assaulted and suffered a ‘very violent death’.
Arizona authorities said Brenda Gerow had been living with John Kalhauser at the time.
Police said they recently got a break in the case when they found a photo of Gerow in Kalhauser’s possession. But, now, we know her real name: Brenda Gerow.
Kalhauser’s wife Diane Van Reeth went missing in 1995, and four years later he was sent to prison after pleading no contest to second degree murder. Her remains have been released to her family in New Hampshire.
Police say they are investigating the link between Kalhauser and Gerow.
