There was no doubt that the OnePlus 6 was going to feature a Snapdragon 845 since company pretty much has no choice but to pick up “off the shelf” components from Qualcomm.
OnePlus 6 is arriving early this year, and it is kind of confirmed. But there are clear signs that the OnePlus 6 will be more expensive than any previous OnePlus phone.
After we learned the device would come with a notch, today we’re getting more official information about the upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone, the next flagship from OnePlus. OnePlus 6 has also been leaked in photo by tipster Evan Blass, revealing a textured back.
Earlier, specifications of this device were leaked via Weibo which informed around 6.2-inches screen along with the featured “notch”.
The fact that OnePlus has already begun teasing the device probably means that it’s coming soon, perhaps by the end of April.
This is no surprise, given that OnePlus is known for packing the best hardware possible, shaving off just the right amount of features to craft a more affordable, price-to-performance based handset. The Chinese manufacturer took to Twitter yesterday to post the first teaser of its next flagship. The more high-end variant will pack 8GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
The video says, “the speed you need” and confirms the name to be OnePlus 6. Pei did clear the air that the notch wouldn’t be as big as the one on the iPhone X, but bigger than the one on the Essential Phone.
Though last year’s phone came in two variants, there are suggestions that the OnePlus 6 could be offered in three variants. OnePlus 6 will also have a chin at the bottom and extremely thin bezles on the top and the sides. The phone will be backed by a 3,450mAh battery which is expected to boast Dash Charge technology.
Lau explains how having a central placement for the front-facing camera is a good option. The smartphone will runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system with firmware version OsygenOS 5.1.0 and support dual-band Wi-Fi.
