Former All Blacks star Brad Thorn cracks the ribs of reality TV star Jamie Laing in a heavy tackle in a charity rugby game at Twickenham.
Thorn must not be a fan of faux-reality show “Made in Chelsea”, because cast member Jamie Laing was subjected to this bone-liquefying hit from the World Cup-winner. Laing later took a trip to the hospital with cracked ribs, according to Daily Mail. He twittered: “But after a massive agree this is where I end up…”
The 26-year-old posted a picture of himself on Instagram from his hospital bed writing: “This is the price you pay for putting your body on the line for England Rugby”.
The 40-year-old Thorn, a dual Australian league and New Zealand rugby global, has only just retired from playing.
Laing is the heir to the McVitie biscuit fortune; somewhat ironic, given the fact that he crumbled like a digestive here.
The charity match was supporting Rugby Aid for Heroes, an organisation that aids military personnel who are making the transition back into civilian life from military service.
