Basically, Cruz feels like Obama can say all this stuff from Turkey, but he wouldn’t say it in person (he probably would though).
“It’s fairly remarkable that President Obama has now chosen two days in a row to attack me directly”, Cruz responded. Well let me suggest something: Mr. President, if you want to insult me, you can do it overseas, you can do it in Turkey, you can do it in foreign countries. We’ll do it on any station or any one of the tv stations would be glad to host it and let’s have a debate on your refugee policy.
Ted Cruz, in his political sandbox, tossed out a double dare to President Obama.
Cruz told reporters gathered outside the Capitol Hill Club Wednesday morning that it’s “unbefitting” of the President to launch insults and personal attacks against Republicans who have voiced concerns about potential terrorists coming to the us through the Syrian refugee program. His plan for letting a kind of religious apartheid decide who the United States rescues from tyranny and hardship and who doesn’t is deplorable all the way around.
Sen. Ted Cruz responded to Barack Obama’s insults, calling for him to “insult me to my face” and challenged him to a debate on Syrian refugees.
Cruz then called for the debate, noting, “Let’s have a debate on Syrian refugees right now”.
He just called me offensive, the day before he called me un-American. If you want to insult me.
“Any refugee should be vetted and numerous refugees would rather stay in the Middle East and if they want to stay in the Middle East we should certainly help them do so, but there’s a qualitative difference and it all comes down to President Obama’s refusal to even utter the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism, ‘ ” Cruz said. Junior Texas Senator Ted Cruz put on his fight’n stance, telling Obama: “Come insult me to my face”.
“If he actually wants to defend his policy instead of tossing cheap insults, I think that actually would be beneficial to this country”, Cruz said. He has not said how he plans to determine whether or not refugees are Muslim or Christian. “Now, on the other hand, Christians who are being targeted for genocide or persecution, Christians who are being beheaded or crucified, we should be providing safe haven to them”.
