An Indiana woman leapt from her moving vehicle after spotting a spider on her shoulder, leading to a crash that injured her son, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department said.
Police said that the mother, Angela K. Kipp, 35, of Syracuse, had originally been backing the vehicle from her driveway.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. When they arrived, law enforcement officials found a 9-year-old boy lying beside the Dodge Avenger that collided with the Wawasee Community School Corporation bus.
She told police that she jumped from the vehicle after finding a spider on her shoulder. “She was responding to the fear of the spider and, unfortunately, had [the car] in gear”.
The boy reacted quickly, jumped in the front and attempted to step on the break but stomped on the gas instead, sending the auto careening backwards and slamming right into the side of a passing school bus.
After the smash in Indiana, USA, the boy was taken to hospital in a stable condition with minor head injuries.
This crash remains under investigation.
