Speaking at the Fox News Republican primary debate in Cleveland, Ohio, host Megyn Kelly questioned whether it’s presidential for Trump to call women he dislikes “fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals”.
On the first topic of the debate, electability, Megyn Kelly turned to Trump with a question about some of his prior statements.
“Honestly, Megyn, if you don’t like it, I’m sorry, I’ve been very nice to you although I probably could maybe not be based on the way you’ve been to me“, he shot back.
Hours after the first GOP debate, Donald Trump did what he does best – wage war on Twitter. For all of the people who were looking forward to Mr. Trump coming, we will miss you.
“Out of hundreds of deals that I’ve done, on four occasions I’ve taken advantage of the laws of this country…Virtually every person that you read about on the front page of the business section [takes advantage of them]”.
Trump has a long history of lobbing insults at those he feels have treated him unfairly, and advises those who buy his books to do the same.
Trump’s campaign responded: “This is just another example of weakness through being politically correct”. During the debate, she pressed Trump about misogynistic, sexist comments he made in the past. While Osbourne said she didn’t understand how her comment got so much attention, she told Extra that she doesn’t want “The View” co-host Rosie Perez – who apologized to Osbourne after admittedly misunderstanding her point – taking the blame for it. “It came out of my mouth, I own it, and I will do whatever I have to do to make it right”.
Earlier this week, Erickson touted Trump’s scheduled appearance to loud applause from conservative activists. “Little @MacMiller, I’m now going to teach you a big boy lesson about lawsuits and finance”. “I’m very surprised at Fox News that they would do that because, you know, I would say it’s pretty unprofessional”, he said.
In the book, Trump declared that, “All the women on “The Apprentice” flirted with me – consciously or unconsciously”.
On some occasions Trump appears to have recognized he’s gone too far.
