The hot rumor Monday afternoon, other than the latest Jurgen Klopp to Liverpool rumors, was that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is thinking of coming to the United States to play in MLS for Orlando City next summer.
The secret project is rumoured to be a movie version of the biography about Ibrahimovic’s upbringing in the troubled Rosengård area of Malmö in southern Sweden and rise to global footballing fame, including years spent at Ajax, Juventus, Inter, AC Milan and Barcelona.
“But we’ll see. There are many things that need to be solved before that”. It would have been fun if we could put something out. I had always thought that Zlatan would spend another couple years in Europe but if he did all he could at PSG and doesn’t want to play for them anymore, why not come to MLS.
“Discussions are being held”, said Ibrahimovic.
Speaking during a press conference with the Swedish national side, Ibrahimovic, who has recently appeared in a BBC documentary about Wayne Rooney’s career, was asked whether he’d fancy a crack at a similar project.
Staying has it’s merits as the star forward became PSG’s all time leading goal scorer, surpassing Pauleta by netting his 109 and 110th goals against Marseille in a 2-1 win at the weekend. You never know what happens in the future, but what I have achieved at PSG is awesome and I feel very happy.
