Israeli police Wednesday shot dead two unidentified Palestinians, following alleged knives-stabbing attacks against Israeli settlers in Bab el-Khalil, also known as Jaffa Gate in the old city of Jerusalem.
Following the attack on the church six months ago, The Rabbis for Human Rights group said that there have been 43 similar attacks against churches, mosques and monasteries in Israeli-occupied land, the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem since 2009, Reuters reported. The man was trying to help, knowing that Israeli forces would most likely deny the girl any medical aid if the Palestinian ambulance was unable to reach her. Another Palestinian bystander was shot.
Police spokesperson Luba Samri said a 20-year-old Palestinian stabbed a Jewish man and woman in Ra’anana, a city north of Tel Aviv. She said police shot both assailants who were later identified as Palestinians in their early 20s from the West Bank.

Since September, 19 Israelis and an American student have been killed in stabbings, shootings and auto rammings carried out by Palestinians. Shin Bet said the militants operated an explosives laboratory in Abu Dis, and planned to carry out suicide bombings in Israel.
“These attacks occurred in a time where the fishers did not pose any threat to the Israeli naval troops, as they were doing their job to secure a living”, the center said.
