1 dead, 3 hurt in downtown LA hotel shooting
The deadly gunfight between the hotel guests took place in the early hours of Sunday before spilling outside of the Standard Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. One person died at the hospital, and the three others were reported to be in serious but stable condition.
It is believed a fight broke out during a party at the hotel shortly after 2.40am.
Los Angeles Police Department officers arrived on scene to find three victims suffering from gunshot wounds in front of the hotel, reports NBC Los Angeles.
“It sounded like heavy machinery falling”, the man, who asked not to be identified, told the Times.
KTLA5 reported that broken glass, bloody clothing and shell casings could be seen near one of the hotel entrances Sunday morning.
The disagreement then moved down to the lobby and continued outside in the hotel’s auto park. Police are hoping the hotel’s surveillance video can help them in their investigation.
