1 dead, several injured in tent collapse in suburban Chicago
One person died and 15 others were transported to local hospitals after strong winds toppled a tent at the Wood Dale Prairie Fest in Wood Dale, Illinois, the Chicago Tribune reported.
A microburst caused a sports dome to collapse in northwest suburban Rosemont as severe storms tore though the Chicago area Sunday afternoon, officials said.
A 35-year-old man has been named as the person killed when a tent collapsed during a brief storm at a suburban Chicago festival. The remainder of the festival’s final day was cancelled, he said. At least three people were seriously injured, the report added.

Tracy Anderson told the Chicago Tribune that her husband saw the tent blow up in the air and land on several people. Rescuers cut holes into the canvas to get people out.
