106 people indicted in Waco biker shooting
“Eventually…those cases will be presented to the grand jury in a few form or fashion”, said Reyna. “I have said all I am going to say about the Twin Peaks matter at this time”, Reyna said Wednesday.
Authorities have acknowledged the confrontation was between the Bandidos and the Cossacks motorcycle gangs, an eruption of violence that preceded a meeting of a coalition of motorcycle clubs that promotes biker safety. Investigators have not offered any further detail into why the fight broke out or who shot whom.
The grand jury’s decision to unanimously act on the charges took nine hours, District Attorney Abel Reyna said at a press conference Tuesday evening. It remains unclear whose bullets struck those who died or were hurt.

“Either way, police and witnesses say one Cossack was knocked down by a Bandido or a Bandido supporter in the parking lot”.
Police recovered 480 weapons: 151 guns, along with assorted knives, brass knuckles, batons, hammers, and the bikers’ blunt objects of choice – padlocks wrapped in bandanas.
Prosecutors will likely be pushing for plea bargains, according to one legal expert not involved in the case.
“I did not see where they came from”.
They face charges of engaging in organized criminal activity.
However, nine of the bikers indicted after hearing that evidence are unknown to the public: they were not in the group of 177 arrested on May 17th, so their indictments are sealed, and will be until they’re brought in for arrest.
Under Texas law, attorneys for defendants not indicted after 180 days can request that initial charges be dismissed and bond restrictions removed. According to Mitchell, the indicted bikers must first return to Waco to be formally arraigned before a judge.
Reyna declined to respond to the criticism.
The last person held in connection with the shootout was released from jail last week. Thiessen said he plans to file a motion for discovery this week, adding that if prosecutors decide to try each person separately, “it’s going to be a logistical nightmare”.
