#1DayToQuanticoInIndia: Hrithik Roshan wishes good luck to Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra, star of ABC’s new Federal Bureau of Investigation drama “Quantico”, received an apology from the network’s “Nightline” this week after it confused her for another Indian actress. The show has been praised for its diversity, and includes another character who Chopra described as a “gun-wielding, badass, hijab-wearing law-enforcement woman”.
However, instead of featuring video clips of Chopra being crowned Miss World in 2000, they used footage from 1999, when Mookhey was awarded the title.
ABC later issued an apology for the mistake and corrected the promo. But it is unfortunately timed, as the segment, titled “How Quantico Star Priyanka Chopra Dealt With Race Issues”, discusses Chopra’s time in the United States as well as her experience with racism.
The 33-year-old actress, who plays an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent in her global debut TV show “Quantico“, responded: “Thank you for the correction @Nightline”.
