$1M Powerball Ticket Sold In Palm River
One lucky Gwinnett County man has won a $1 million prize from Saturday’s Powerball drawing.
There is not set amount of time it will take to determine if there are any winning tickets after the drawing for numbers on Saturday night, said Kelly Cripe, spokeswoman for the Texas Lottery.
The winning numbers were 16-19-32-34-57 with the Powerball 13.
There was no word, yet on the identities of either million dollar winners. All six numbers must be correct to win, although the first five can be in any order.
Since Nov. 4, the Powerball jackpot has grown from its $40 million starting point as no one has won the jackpot.
The odds of winning the jackpot are one in 292.2 million.
“I was in nervous shock”, he said. To be eligible, tickets must be purchased by 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
“I convinced him to buy $10 (worth of tickets) instead of 6”, said Jake Ghonsuli, the employee who sold the ticket.
“We don’t know who it was or when it was purchased”, Walsh said.
“Not since we moved to this location”, Walsh said when asked about selling any previous big winners.
Powerball’s jackpot has been rising since the November 4 drawing, when a Tennessee ticket won $144 million.
“We probably had a few”, Walsh said.
The Pennsylvania Lottery confirmed today a ticket matching four of five numbers drawn plus the Powerball was sold at Al’s Quick Shop, 1172 E. Drinker St.
