20th Annual Santa’s Santa Fe Christmas

Peter Mayer’s annual Stars & Promises Concert – “A Restless World, A Silent Night”, will be performed beginning at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11, at United Reformed Church, 100 West Main St. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets at the door are $35.

Santa’s House, which temporarily stands on Van Buren Street during the holiday season, dates back to the 1950’s. Maisie Baker cried after her father, Michael Baker put her in Santa’s lap. “And then kids can get their pictures with Santa at the Fire Hall immediately following the parade until 8:30 p.m”. For parents bringing their kids to Santa for the first time, a lot may have changed since they got the chance to sit in his lap.
Adding to the spirit of the season on Saturday, Christmas music will be broadcast from Nanaimo Square, and popular truck vendors will be serving up food in Gyro Park, “so all of the downtown will be in the festive mood”, Milton said.
The Osgoode Santa Clause Parade, which begins at 2 p.m.at the intersection of Johannes and Victoria Streets, will feature between 15 and 20 floats, and a number of volunteers from Osgoode Township High School will be on hand to help it all run smoothly.
