3 injured in shooting near Tennessee State University campus
Those people started shooting into the crowd of more than 100 people, picking random targets.
A preliminary investigation revealed a large party was taking place at the home directly across the street from TSU’s campus, said Haley.
Witnesses tell WKRN a group of three people came to the party, but were denied access.
Arriving officers learned a 19-year-old man and two 20-year-old men had been shot.
The man who was shot in the head was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment and is listed in very critical condition.
One of the victims attends TSU, the other Nashville State and the last one goes to Middle Tennessee State University. The other two victims have minor gunshot wounds.
“The first suspect is described as 5′-9”, 220 lbs. with dark complexion, a fade haircut, and wearing a grey hoodie with beige trousers. A description is not available of the third suspect, but he was wearing a green hoodie.
Tennessee State is celebrating its Homecoming this week but it’s unclear if the party was related to homecoming activities.
