$3M in property stolen from Drake and Future’s tour bus in Phoenix
Drake looked furious as he learned that millions of dollars worth of jewellery had been stolen from a tour bus while he was performing in Arizona.
Officers are working with the victim to account for the items reported stolen, Lewis said.
Drake is now in the midst of his Summer Sixteen tour with Future, which headed to Los Angeles on Wednesday for a three-night stint at Staples Center.
Investigators identified him through surveillance footage and found him already in jail for trespassing in Tempe. This tour comes after Drake’s last album, “Views”, which was released earlier this year.
Though the jewelry does not belong to the rapper, Drake was caught on camera getting visibly upset upon making his way to the tour bus. He’s been booked for felony burglary. TMZ claims the jewelry belonged to Drake’s DJ and manager Future the Prince, but Drake is also visibly angry in a video obtained by TMZ.
The suitcase and the jewelry were recovered.
It happened about 10:15 p.m., where only minutes before fans of all ages were singing along to hip-hop artists’ songs.
Someone ripped off Future the Prince, Drake’s tour DJ, and Drizzy isn’t happy about it. Staff at the venue would not comment on the alleged theft from Drake’s tour bus.
