4 adults found dead after shooting in Texas

So far there is no information on the shooter’s identity or the motive for the shooting incident.

A shooting at a Texas apartment complex has left four people dead including the suspected shooter.

Bastrop, a town with a population of around 7,500 people, is located 56 km southeast of Austin, the capital city of Texas.

“We received multiple calls where shots were being fired”, said Miami Police Officer Rene Pimentel.

Six people have been shot dead and several others wounded in two separate shootings in the United States, officials say.

Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Dawn Adams quoted officers at the apartment complex as saying the suspect was dead and the scene was secured.

Marta Hernadez heard the gunfire erupt from a nearby apartment, hid in the bathroom and called 911, she told KXAN-TV. One broke my window and the other one is in the wall and the door and through my dishes. She said she saw three adults and one child on the ground.

Residents of the apartment complex were allowed back in their apartments shortly before 10 p.m. The Bastrop Police Department, Bastrop County Sheriffs Office and the Texas Rangers are continuing to investigate the shooting.
