4 arrests in Levi’s parking lot beating of Vikings fan
A video posted to Facebook showed a pack of 49ers fans beat up on a man wearing an Adrian Peterson jersey outside Gate C, repeatedly kicking and punching him in the face, after San Francisco’s 20-3 victory over Minnesota. Detectives worked diligently to review the video and quickly identified two victims.
Three men and a teenager were arrested in connection with a brutal assault after the San Francisco 49ers-Minnesota Vikings “Monday Night Football” game that was caught on video outside of Levi’s Stadium, police said Friday.
The Santa Clara Police Department says officers were dispatched to the incident and upon arrival, the officers learned that all parties involved in the incident had dispersed.
Detectives eventually identified four suspects from the video.
Detectives on Thursday arrested Felix Chavira, Juan Arias, and Eric Martinez.
SCPD say they primarily used the video to find the suspects, and that injuries sustained by the Vikings fan and a security guard are non-life threatening.
The three adult suspects have been booked into Santa Clara County Jail and the girl was issued a criminal citation before she was released to her parents, according to Clarke. As a result of his behavior, the Santa Clara Stadium Authority is terminating the individual’s Stadium Builders License and the 49ers are revoking his season tickets.
