49ers remove RB Hyde from active/non-football injury list
The 49ers have not disclosed Hyde’s injury.
Carlos Hyde will be integral to the San Francisco 49ers offense in 2015, but the second-year running back is already battling an injury heading into training camp. It’s believed that Hyde had a strained calf during the 49ers’ organized team activities. Center Daniel Kilgore, still recovering from the broken left ankle he suffered at Denver in Week 7 last season, is on the active/physically unable to perform list.
Branch offers the same report for the expected return of linebacker Aaron Lynch and offensive lineman Trent Brown, who join Hyde and wide receiver DeAndre Smelter on the list to open camp. The only known injury for him during the offseason program was a muscle pull not his hamstring that coach Jim Tomsula didn’t discuss in further detail. “Let’s just get it healed and get going”.
As expected, Hyde will be on the field for the team’s first full-squad practice on Saturday at Levi’s Stadium.
