5 bodies found in Modesto, California home
MODESTO, Calif. (AP) – Police have named a 30-year-old man a person-of-interest in the deaths of five people whose bodies were found in a California home on Saturday.
Modesto Police say they got a call early Saturday afternoon from a friend of the people who lived at the home, asking officers to do a welfare check.
“We found five people deceased inside”, said Heather Graves, a police spokeswoman.
Martinez is believed to be driving a 2000 red Lincoln Navigator with the license plate 7CNN611.
There was no immediate information on the victims or the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
She said detectives were waiting to receive court approval to enter the home and process the crime scene.
Modesto police discovered the bodies of two adults and three children inside the Nob Hill Court home at around 3:30 p.m., after being called to conduct a welfare check, police told NBC affiliate KCRA.
Modesto is located in the state’s Central Valley.
