5 flagship smartphones likely to launch this week
Lenovo is all set to launch a number of Motorola devices at the IFA 2016.
We should not expect any Huawei device of the Mate series, as speculations are mounting that a new series entirely aimed at the mid-range market is set to pop out at the event. Here’s a list of five gadgets to expect from the event.
While the event is only to start on September 2, the pre-IFA events are already buzzing with new announcements from LG. However, it is rumoured to be a smaller version of its latest flagship, like the Xperia Z5 Compact that was released a year ago. After all, the company just launched its brand new Galaxy Note 7 recently, and it needs to give the phablet at least a few months to enjoy being the hottest new Android phone in the world. Now, IFA is where we’ve earlier seen the company unveil flagship products, but looks like the Watch will be the highlight this year. However, as usual with Huawei phones, the Mate S2 is expected to come with a Kirin 960 SoC that is paired with a 4GB RAM and a 3500mAh battery unit. The company is expected to launch the Moto Z Play (leaked earlier), the Moto Z, and the Moto M (also leaked earlier). Stay tuned in here for more updates. We have added the official Lenovo video teaser for IFA below, and you can follow Lenovo at IFA on Twitter @lenovo with the tag #LENOVOLAUNCH.
According to reports, the Moto Z camera module will feature a 10x optical zoom, a zoom lens, xenon flash and a physical shutter.
What are you hoping to see revealed at the IFA 2016? There will also be a power button on the camera module to turn it on and off.
We know that Samsung is working to get their Samsung Gear S2 and Samsung Gear Fit 2 to come with the iPhone support. Despite these heavy talks, the Gear S2 sales did not live up to the expectations. The invite doesn’t mention any product, but clearly points out at a watch, which is speculated to be the Samsung Gear S3. Samsung which has already shown its phones for this year may also bring out a tablet and according to rumours Galaxy Tab S3 may be in the pipeline. There will be design changes on the ZenWatch 3 when compared to the previous models. The ZenWatch 3 comes as the first ever ASUS smartwatch to release with a circular display. Huawei as well as Asus has not refreshed watches since a long time. The iPhone will have to run on the iOS 8.4 version and above.
What else do you think will show up at the IFA 2016?
