A CBI official said they have been pursuing the matter with Australian authorities.
Rajan had been living in Australia under another identity and had reportedly been in discussions with Indian authorities.
The site listed his passport number as G9273860 and said the gangster arrived in Indonesia from Sydney on a Garuda Indonesia flight. “There are no further details required as of now on this. The issue is on track and our ministries are in touch with each other”, Wadhwa added.

The sources in CBI are tightlipped about the exact arrangements to bring him back because of security concerns arising out of his fierce rivalry with Dawood Ibrahim and his gang.
