6 injured in 23-car crash on Interstate 5 north of Seattle
The truck connected to the shooting is still at large. Four others were also injured, state patrol said.
Two men in their 20’s were killed early Saturday morning in an apparent drive-by shooting, on Interstate 5 near Mount Vernon.
The driver of the truck, a 60-year-old man from Everson, and a person in a vehicle that was hit were taken to hospital with critical injuries.
Traffic backed up for miles as all lanes were closed in both directions.
The Washington State Patrol said a tractor-trailer hauling gravel in the southbound lanes crossed the median around 8:45 a.m. and plowed into cars that were stopped in the northbound lanes.
The truck driver had a broken arm and chest injuries, and may have had a medical condition that caused the crash, Francis told KING-TV.
