7-year-old among hostages at Baltimore Burger King

The gunman, who has not been identified, is wanted in connection to a rape that happened within the past 48 hours, police said.

City police report that they have apprehended the rape suspect involved in the Burger King barricade situation.

Baltimore Police said Sunday afternoon that the suspect was in custody and the hostages were unharmed.

Police did not release the suspect’s name, but said he’s wanted on an alleged rape that occurred within the last two days.

“There are individuals inside the Burger King that we believe are being held against their will”, said Smith.

Police are saying that several people inside of a Burger King in Baltimore, Maryland are being held against their will by a suspected rapist, who is armed with a gun.

The man, wanted on rape charges, initially refused to pull his vehicle over when police spotted him. The civilian in the auto hit by the suspect has minor injuries.

Negotiators and a SWAT team are working to communicate with the armed attacker.. Smith said the suspect’s vehicle collided with another vehicle then fled on foot into the Burger King, which had other people inside when the suspect entered.
