7-year-old Iowa State fan attends TCU game after heartwarming photo goes viral
Boykin was doing things with his legs that no one since the great ballet star Nureyev has ever accomplished, scrambling, cutting, spinning, leaping and making WVU tacklers miss him once, twice, maybe three times on the same play.
On Thursday, Boykin completed 32 of his 47 passes for 388 yards and three touchdowns.
Jenny Faber, center, her daughter Abby, wearing the No. 2 Trevone Boykin TCU jersey and the rest of the Faber family stand in the end zone during a presentation where they were introduced to the stadium in the first half of an NCAA college football game against West Virginia Thursday, October 29, 2015, in Fort Worth, Texas.
“With all due respect to Corey Coleman two weeks ago, Trevone Boykin is the best player in college football”, Holgorsen said. Will get overtime again in tonight’s TCU West Virginia game live streaming or on TV?
All the losses for the Mountaineers (3-4, 0-4) have been in consecutive games against the Big 12’s four ranked teams: Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Baylor, and now TCU.
The West Virginia Mountaineers (3-3) are coming from a 62-38 loss to Baylor in Week 7. No, this is to say even during the first drive for TCU’s offense, it was getting held up, but was able to capitalize on penalties (correct call or not) as well as any team in the nation.
This sidearm throw for a touchdown to Doctson was an especially impressive pass for Boykin.
“Everybody said you have to have a campaign”, coach Gary Patterson said. “I was hoping he’d get down, but obviously he didn’t”.
– A facemask penalty on TCU left guard Jamelle Naff negated a 61-yard touchdown completion from Boykin to Josh Doctson early in the second quarter. “They are pretty special people”.
The difference Thursday was the play of Boykin and his clairvoyant chemistry between him and Doctson.
“What I said to them in there (the locker room) was that I love them, and we’re gonna keep fighting and I know they will”, said Holgorsen. “I mean, “Congratulations bud, you made a helluva play”.
Saturday at the invitation of Patterson, Faber, her parents and her three older siblings attended the Horned Frogs game, flying to Fort Worth on the private jet of a TCU donor. Not only have the games been decided by a score or less, but they’ve been decided on the final play.
The Frogs finished the first quarter with a 17-0 lead on kicker Jaden Oberkrom’s 20-yard field goal.
On the season, the TCU Horned Frogs average 389.6 yards in passing and 226.7 yards in rushing. I’m not saying this was fixed – like the Ohio State vs Wisconsin Big Ten Championship last season where the conference did everything in its power to help the Buckeyes in the polls.
