9 shot at Brooklyn house party
Sgt. Daniel Doody of the New York Police Department said the shooting happened at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday in the East New York section after an argument.
Thirteen people were hurt early Sunday after gunfire erupted outside a house party in New York City’s Brooklyn borough, Reuters reports.
At least four of the victims were at Brookdale Hospital, two of them with injuries minor enough that they were able to walk into the emergency entrance, arriving as two others were rushed inside on gurneys by paramedics.
The shooting occurred at Stanley Avenue and Crescent Street, near the Louis Heaton Pink Houses, police say.
At least one victim was critically injured, police said.
One man who was at the party said he came outside after the shots rocked he neighborhood.
“I was on my way to the store”, Faylo Alston told the Post.
“I was at work, and I heard gunshots around 1:45 to 2 in the morning”, a man who was near the shooting told Gold.
