Taylor Swift Wins an Emmy Award: I Thought it Was a ‘Prank’

Taylor Swift wouldn’t be the first country star to grace the set of SVU, either.

Taylor Swift was just announced as an early victor at the 2015 Emmy Awards!

Today, the Television Academy unveiled the winners for the 67th Emmy Awards in the categories of Animation, Costumes for a Variety Program or Special, Motion Design and Interactive Media. Thanks to 360-degree cameras, fans could immerse themselves in the different rooms and plots that were part of the video for “Blank Space”.

That win puts Swift halfway toward becoming an EGOT victor – someone who is awarded an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. As noted earlier, the Creative Arts Emmy Awards are on Saturday and will be followed by the Primetime Emmys on September 20. Swift can now rest easy knowing that she has an award that not even Jane Krakowski, Steve Carell, or Michael C. Hall have ever won.
