Death of Tyler Sash stuns coaches, players at Iowa, NFL

“Emergency services responded to 719 Fox Run Drive around 10 a.m. Connecticut Tuesday in reference to an unresponsive male”, The Oskaloosa, Iowa, police department said in an official statement this week, according to ESPN.
The cause of death has not been reported, and there has been no word of Sash having any health problems.

Ferentz recalled first watching Sash when he scored 36 points in a youth basketball tournament in Sigourney, Iowa, against a team that included his son, James.
There was an outpouring of support and sympathy on social media when news of Sash’s passing began to surface. “Our heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to Tyler’s family during this extremely hard time”, he added.

Sash was one of three children born to Barney and Mike Sash.
