Cops: 5 dead in apparent murder-suicide near near Minneapolis
The South Lake Minnetonka Police were sent to a home in Greenwood, which is west of Minneapolis, after a co-worker of one of the victims became anxious because they did not show up to work. Officials at the children’s school were also concerned when the kids did not show up for class for the last two days.
A message left by Patch with South Lake Minnetonka Police seeking confirmation was not immediately returned. Siitari called the situation “tragic”, but said there is no threat to the public. The identities of the victims has not yet been released.
Siitari said the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office was processing a “complex crime scene”.
The Hennepin County Dispatch says the incident occurred at a lakeside home on Lake Minnetonka’s Saint Albans Bay.
