Star Wars: Episode VII Will Begin Filming This Month
Abrams’ project is locked, loaded and ready for its December 18 premiere. Star Wars seems like the flawless film to stay awake for. For those who want to go into the movie and be completely surprised, they might as well put on a Storm Trooper helmet until the film’s release on December. 15th.
The force will be with United Kingdom cinemagoers after it was announced they will get to see the new Star Wars film before the USA.
However, there have been small-scale reshoots during the summer, one just happening recently when a majority of the cast reassembled for the Disney fan expo D23. The 8th film in the franchise will be written and directed by Rian Johnson, with Bencio Del Toro confident he will be the film’s primary villain.
So far, the force looks strong with this one doesn’t it? Given Skellig Michael’s location off the western coast of Ireland, and it’s open exposure to the elements, it’s a site that changes drastically in appearance over the course of the year.
It’s not often you get Star Wars information from an Irish politician, but this is the way the world works right now. Skellig Michael may be the hideout of Luke Skywalker, a Jedi, and if the fall landscape of the place is involved, it may indicate a dark future for him. From leaked plot descriptions, which may or may not be accurate, he doesn’t show up until the end of The Force Awakens, and neither does Skellig Michael.
The island, protected as a UNESCO Heritage Site, is home to the ruins of a small monastery that was occupied for around 500 years until the 12th century.
