My daughter makes me a better person: Reese Witherspoon

The actress and her daughter with ex Ryan Phillippe look uncannily similar – on first glance, teenage Ava appears to be an Election-era Witherspoon.

Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon shared photos to celebrate her lookalike daughter Ava’s 16th birthday.

And the Wild star, 39, showed she’s a hands-on mom on Friday, as she and her husband Jim Toth took him out for a local stroll in Brentwood, California. The couple, who also have a son together separated in October 2006.

“We have a lot of different projects-women who are astronauts, women who are working on Wall Street-we are just trying to diversify the idea of how you see women on screen and portraying real women, all ethnicities, all ages”. Another said: “She is the spitting image of you!”

It’s hard to believe that Ava is already 16-years-old, but she has grown into a lovely young lady – one that her mom is super proud of.

Besides her colombre hair, the 15-year-old looks just like her mom in this photo. “I love you @avaphillippe (sic)”, posted Witherspoon. But, you know, right now I’m feeling sad missing my little 2-year-old, and my daughter’s about to finish her freshman year of high school, and my son has a golf tournament this weekend that I hope I don’t miss.

“Somebody was saying to me the other day, ‘Oh, people get less interesting when they have kids.’ I just don’t think that’s true”, she said.

In 2013, Witherspoon told Elle having children changed her life for the better.
