ISIS Militants Killed After Eating Poisoned Ramadan Meal
The Islamic State (ISIS) terror group are known for having lavish meals while hundreds of those living under their regime starve during the month of Ramadan.
As mentioned by reports, the poisonous dinner was served up to 145 jihadist for iftar – the traditional meal which celebrates the end of the day’s fasting.
However, it is yet not clear if ISIS terrorists were deliberately poisoned or died of food poisoning as Iraqi media reported citing a Kurdish Democratic party spokesperson.
Mosul, which had a population of over 1 million people, was captured by Islamic State fighters in June and is the largest city in the group’s self-declared caliphate.
It has been alleged that the Iftar meal was laced with poison which killed the fighters who are infamous for their association with the jihadi fraction of ISIS.
In November, soldiers in the Free Syrian Army allegedly made their way into an Isis camp posing as chefs and poisoned their lunches, killing at least 10.
Militants replaced the Christian cross on the roof of the church with an Isis flag before blowing the building up using improvised explosive devices.
Those images were shared by anti-Islamic State activists ‘Raqqa Is Being Slaughtered Silently.’.
