Taco Bell Starting Delivery Service – WBKO
In order to use this service, customers will punch in their order on DoorDash’s app or website and then DoorDash will put in the order at the closest Taco Bell, pick it up and drive it to your home or office.
“We’ve been talking about delivery for a while, because it’s the No. 1 most requested thing” by customers, said Lieberman, who added that Taco Bell would promote its delivery test on Periscope, Snapchat and Twitter in the coming days. Pizza Hut, which the company also owns, offers a well-established delivery business. “This partnership enables us to provide consistent quality service and the feedback we need to elevate the delivery experience and evaluate where Taco Bell delivery goes next”. The company is hoping to expand its delivery options to more cities.
Paired with our Netflix habit and this new delivery feature, it looks like we’re never going to leave the couch again. “Taco Bell has always been about value and convenience, and we believe delivery is the next step in catering to today’s on-demand culture that’s driving consumer behavior”, he said.
The announcement came in a form of a press release, where Brian Niccol, Taco Bell CEO, gave the following statement in regards to its new service.
During early testing in Orange County and Northern California, delivery times have been clocked at roughly 38 minutes, Taco Bell officials said.
Other restaurant chains have also been toying with food delivery via mobile app. Another popular burrito joint, Chipotle Mexican Grill, struck a deal with courier service Postmates to deliver in more than 60 cities at a fee ranging from $4.99 to $7.99. This is DoorDash’s first partnership with a national food chain.
