Activists call for removal of Cosby star from Walk of Fame
Responding to activists who have called for the removal of the Walk of Fame stars of Donald Trump and Bill Cosby, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in a statement Thursday declared that it has no intention of removing the sidewalk landmarks honoring the controversial figures. The spokeswoman said the bust, part of an outdoor exhibit at Disney’s Hollywood Studios park in Orlando that honours members of the Television Academy Hall of Fame, was taken away after the park closed on Tuesday.
In newly unsealed documents, Cosby testified in 2005 that he obtained quaaludes with the intent of giving them to women before sex.
Cosby moved from the William Morris Agency (where he was a client for 48 years) to CAA in 2012.
More than 30 women in the past year have accused the 77-year-old comedian of rape or attempted rape.
She said making public the entire deposition and written settlement would let people decide if that’s the case.
Cosby has denied the allegations and hasn’t been charged with any crime related to them. Washington DC’s Ben’s Chili Bowl restaurant has also got rid of Cosby image they previously featured, according to the Washington Post. “Sadly his own testimony offers PROOF of bad deeds, which is ALL I have ever required to believe the accusations”. They could not immediately be reached for comment on Wednesday.
