Honda Civic Tourer Active Life Concept to be Showcases at IAA 2015
CivicX has published pictures of an undisguised pre-production 2016 Honda Civic Sedan (USA-spec) ahead of its confirmed global debut on September 16.
Honda will unveil a concept vehicle at next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show that’s aimed at people who ride bikes.
Combining cargo and style for the active consumers, if this Honda Civic Tourer comes to fruition, we’re pretty sure this wagon will sell.
The official reveal of the all-new 2016 Honda Civic sedan is just around the corner, but if you need a dose of compact four-door excitement like now, these spy shots give a good idea of what the auto is going to look like.
Honda has replaced the rear seats with an innovative rotating rack that can hold up to two bikes.
The roof box is designed for other bike accessories. The Honda Civic Tourer Active Life Concept is finished in custom blue and it has the lower gun metallic gradation and silver roofline, riding on new 18-inch alloy wheels. Outback, the new taillights receive that iconic C-shaped taillight (boomerang shape.) The side markers on either side of the rear bumper adds plenty of character to the back and highlights somewhat of a faux diffuser of sorts.
The interior also features a customised theme with blue stitching on the steering wheel and on the gear shift, along with a sporty black roof lining, also found on the Civic Sport and Civic Type R, and bespoke suede and leather front seats.
And transporting the bikes will be fuel efficient as this Honda has the i-DTEC engine that recently set a new Guinness World Record in averaging 2.82 litres per 100 km in a 13,498 km drive across 24 contiguous EC countries.
