Heroes Reborn games announced for consoles, PC, and smartphone
HRG will show up and so will Hiro, but the cast will be mostly newcomers.
Heroes Reborn, the reboot of NBC’s live-action superhero series, will be accompanied by the release of a mobile game called Heroes Reborn: Enigma and a current-generation console and PC game called Heroes Reborn: Gemini.
Given how much buzz Heroes Reborn is generating, it’s safe to say there are plenty of people who are extremely excited for its return – and, with Comic-Con 2015 right around the corner, fans are eagerly anticipating any new shreds of info from NBC.
Heroes Reborn: Enigma will be a first-person action puzzler affair for iOS and Android devices starring Cassandra’s 14-year-old sister Dahlia. Even better, Heroes Reborn: Gemini and Heroes Reborn: Enigma aren’t just a couple of quick cash-ins, either: they’ll be acting as prequels, and will tie directly into the TV series when it airs this fall.
Expanding on the television story arc, Gemini is a first-person adventure game where players take on the role of Cassandra, a young woman determined to solve the mysteries of her past while discovering her new powers.
Both of these games are being developed by Phosphor Games and Imperative Entertainment, which was co-founded by Heroes ReBorn creator Tim Kring. Unfortunately the developers haven’t gone into further details as to how exactly the mobile version will play out, since “puzzle adventure game” can mean a lot of different things.
Teaser trailer to be released this Sunday, July 12. Heroes ReBorn will begin airing on September 24th and will continue from where the original series ended in 2006.
