Pokemon Go heading to Android and iOS devices next year
Are you iPhone and Android users out there ready to channel your inner Ash and journey into the world to catch and train some Pokemon?
Connected to the phone via bluetooth, it can be clipped to clothing or worn on a wrist strap to notify players when a Pokemon or other event is nearby.
Players get to catch Pokemon, battle with other trainers, and trade with them.
Like Ingress before it, it appears that this new game will involve catching Pokemon by exploring real-world locations. But today’s announcement of Pokemon Go marks the first time that Nintendo is involved in the creation of a mobile Pokemon game… which is fitting as it might be the biggest one yet. This is an augmented reality online multiplayer mobile game released by former Google subsidiary Niantic Labs in 2013.
“Our challenge was to develop a great game for smartphone devices that expressed the core values of ‘Pokemon, ‘” Tsunekazu Ishihara, the CEO of the Pokemon Company said in a statement according to Engadget. However, the Pokemon Go Plus watch price / cost is not decided yet. There are plans for Pokemon Go to connect with the next games in the regular Pokemon series, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a version of the Pokemon Go app doesn’t make its way to 3DS. This sounds like a serious risk if you’re on your way somewhere and discover a real life side mission. This device is called the Pokemon Go Plus which has a screen shaped like a location icon and capped with a Pokeball emblem. Nintendo is working on a companion smartwatch device to enhance the experience. This means, players don’t have to fear the new game will not function properly as producers have already tested most of the gaming features.
Entrance has had 12 million downloads, and consistently holds get together occasions that draw many players. Earlier this year, Pokemon Shuffle, a puzzle game primarily exclusive to Nintendo DS, landed on the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
