Halo 5: Guardians gets two new campaign-focused videos
Guardians launches towards the end of next month, one thing you can expect is a constant 60 frames per second. The franchise Development director at 343 Industries, Frank O’Connor, gave us a bit of insight on the game’s setting saying, “We have deliberately put ourselves in a world that isnt black and white, that isn’t fully understood that there are simple good guys and simple bad guys”.
“In prior “Halo” games, the voting system would often result in players returning to the same map, match after match, because of its popularity”.
Due to the diversity of action and environments in “Halo” games, maintaining visual speed hasn’t always been seamless.
According to Game Zone, the game developers of “Halo 5: Guardians” have made a fine adjustment regarding the spawning points in the Area mode so that it will not be randomly selected. During these quieter excursions, 60fps isn’t an issue. This is where our new progressive resolution system comes into play, allowing the game to scale resolution dynamically as the experience gets more intense and complex.
343 Industries has released some impressive-looking campaign gameplay footage from Halo 5: Guardians as well as a cinematic first look at its story. It’s also worth noting that it’s just as possible to advance by completing several smaller tasks as it is by being a leader in one large battle. The developers assured that players can replay the entire campaign for a couple of times without encountering the same combat situations. We usually see this done with remastered games, but it is definitely a treat when a new game hits that milestone. New collectibles and hidden power weapons will be up for grabs for the more treasure-inclined gamers.
Per the Xbox Wire Blog: “Framerate is king for us on Halo 5“. Despite not being able to do the series’ staple split-screen gameplay during its main story mode (which remain some of my fondest memories with the series: beating Halo titles on Legendary with a friend next to me), you’ll be able to get three other online players join you during your campaign.
“Halo 5: Guardians” will be released on Xbox One on October 27.
