Caitlyn Jenner shares her journey in new blog
Everyone has a different emotional transition to find their own way to support it. Caitlyn has helped me learn to be less judgmental.
According to Kim, she discovered that Bruce wanted to be a woman over 12 years before Bruce publicly transitioned into Caitlyn Jenner.
In an open letter published on WhoSay, the 65-year-old thanked fans for their “overwhelmingly positive” response to her journey, for which she’s “eternally grateful”.
“The Real Me” will chronicle her new experiences within the community. “I am telling my story…This is about getting to be who you really are”. “I’ll be sharing their stories here in the coming weeks and I can’t wait for you to get to know them”.
It wasn’t until recently that she became acquainted with more trans-people and their stories. Like other trans women, she still has to deal with inappropriate jokes and nasty hate messages on her social media. She is also stepfather to Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian.
Jenner’s post indicates she’s “heard every horror story”, including tales of fighting for survival while being bullied and abused, but finds inspiration in how members of the transgender community have overcome adversity. Check out the new “I Am Cait” promo below, and tell us what you think.
Upon learning that Caitlyn is transgender, Esther, 88, recalled to the Olympian, “My first feeling was, ‘I lost my son.’ Then I thought, ‘You know what?”
‘My new friends are so well-adjusted and smart, ‘ she continued.
Jenner then admits that as someone who has “totally isolated” herself from the transgender community in the past, she now feels a sense of responsibility. Just like what she said in her Vanity Fair interview, she is in a much better place in her life now that she has established her new identity.
I Am Cait premieres on August 2 at 9pm on E!
