NRA Spokesperson Tom Selleck Steals Water from California Drought-Stricken

The “Magnum, P.I.” and “Blue Bloods” star is accused of taking water from a Ventura County, California, water district fire hydrant for use on his ranch.

The lawsuit – filed with Ventura County Superior Court on Monday, July 6 – states the former Friends star should not have taken the water because he resides in the Hidden Valley Municipal Water District, not the Calleguas district.

To document the alleged misappropriation prior to filing suit, the Calleguas District said it spent almost $22,000 on a private investigator.

Ventura County sheriff’s Capt. John Riley told NBC News authorities have conducted their own investigation but “we were unable to establish a crime was committed”.

California communities have been ordered to cut water use compared with 2013 levels due to the relentless, four-year drought.

“Our policies have been on the books for decades”, Eric Bergh, the water district’s manager of resources, told NBC News.

“And with everyone in cutback mode, tearing up their lawns, installing conservation methods, we believe our 630,000 customers would agree with that”.

Vigilantes have taken to filming outdoor water use around the homes of the rich and famous and posting videos online. She was born in England and made a go at acting in the States.

“We have people who probably never see their water bills because they’re quite wealthy and they have accountants who handle all of that”, he said.

Representatives for Selleck did not return phone messages and emails seeking comment Wednesday.
