Huawei-Made Nexus 6 Spotted in Benchmark with Specs in Tow
The company plans to launch two distinct new smartphones, including a Nexus 5X made by LG, and Huawei’s version of the Nexus 6 successor.
Rumor has it that the LG-manufactured Nexus will retail for $400.
SmartBurst, the report said, is “a feature that intelligently captures interesting moments and a GIF and a collage”.
Google is planning its answer to Apple’s new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
And it looks like that the Nexus 2015 will showcase the same capability right out of the box. In terms of the cameras, there is a 13MP snapper on the backside and an 8MP sensor on the front.
With September 29 fast approaching, we expect Google to begin sending out invites for its Nexus smartphone and phablet event, and we’ll keep you posted on any additional details as they become available.
The Huawei Nexus sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, as do a lot of other high-end handsets this year.
A smartphone codenamed “Huawei angler” was subjected to the GeekBench benchmark last week although it was only confirmed recently that the device was, in fact, the Huawei Nexus 6.
This unnamed Huawei device scores 1156 on the single-core test and 3641 on multi-core.
Compared to the LeTV MAX X900, which has the same chip, the score is 1366 and 5172, single and multi core, respectively.
The result suggests that Google has a beastly contender that is raring to let out in the coming fee weeks. The chipset is neither the most stable or the most powerful on the market, but Huawei Nexus 6 won’t be launched as a flagship smartphone anyway. The benchmark results also reveal the phone will come with 3GB of RAM and, unsurprisingly, will be running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). The LG Nexus 5 2015, on the other hand, is packaged as the sub-flagship option with the tandem of Snapdragon 808 chip and 2GB of RAM powering the vanilla Android handset.
