Republican hearings on Planned Parenthood missing just one thing: Planned

As Republicans huddled, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on the controversial Planned Parenthood videos. Planned Parenthood turned their corpses into “revenue” while cloaking their actions in the language of choice.

In 2011, Kansas lowered its funding of Planned Parenthood, diverting the funds to health clinics and pregnancy support grants.

In Louisiana, protests are happening at the New Orleans Planned Parenthood facility under construction on Claiborne Avenue and at the Planned Parenthood facility in Baton Rouge.

“That’s the question, and I fear the answer will be yes, because we’re not going to do anything“, he said. And dozens of Republican lawmakers have said they were willing to stage a government shutdown in order to block subsidies from being released to the organization.

While at the Women Betrayed rally, Paul also slammed DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz for saying the matter of abortion is “private”.

Both House Speaker John Boehner and McConnell have said they will not do anything that could result in another government shutdown, having presumably learned their lesson after the 2013 shutdown that was largely blamed on Republicans.

Top Republicans want to avoid a standoff that precipitates a federal shutdown, which voters might blame on the GOP.

So Gov. Dayton, we call on you today. The investigations that the Republican majority has instigated, as well as the threat by some Republicans to shut down the government over Planned Parenthood funding, are a continuation of the attack on women’s health and reproductive freedom.
