Tristan Thompson Not Attending LeBron James’ Voluntary Cavs Team Workouts in Miami
The LeBron James preseason camp (voluntary, but you better not say no) will include the team’s franchise player himself, along with Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Iman Shumpert, J.R. Smith, James Jones, Mo Williams, Richard Jefferson, Anderson Varejao, Joe Harris and Sasha Kaun; pretty much the whole team.
Billionaire Detroiter and Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert might not love everything about his alma mater, but he hinted today about the possibility of a significant gift coming to Michigan State.
Thompson is a restricted free agent, and if he doesn’t sign a long-term deal, he’ll sign a qualifying offer, which means he becomes a free agent in 2016, when the big salary cap raise comes along.
Love dislocated his left shoulder in the opening round of the Eastern Conference playoffs after getting tangled up with Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk. However, if Thompson does indeed accept the one-year deal, he has already made it known he will be looking for a new team next year. Last season Love uncharacteristically struggled to finish in the low post so that is one of his main focuses this offseason. Chris Haynes reported that the rehab has been going well for Irving, but that he will miss the start of the season for the team.
Thompson and the Cavaliers have a few more weeks to work something out, but reports have the sides not communicating much over the last month regarding a deal.
In July, Love signed a five-year, 0 million extension to stay in Cleveland.
Tristan Thompson rumors continue to reflect badly on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Paul reportedly thinks the Raptors and other teams are out there willing to give Thompson the max next summer. He averaged 9.6 points and 10.8 rebounds.
Love is constant the rehabilitation of the injured shoulder, which value him the latter a part of the 2015 National Basketball Association Playoffs, and the facility ahead said that he might be prepared in time for his or her match-up with their Japanese Convention rivals.
